Rain, a troubled teenager is thrown into the most unexpected situation where she needs to discover what really matters. She can save herself and get away safely or put herself in danger to save many more lives. Everyone likes to think they can be a hero, until it's actually happening and they have to make the choice. After everything she's been through, can she handle it? What if the man she fell for is behind everything that has happened? Should be believe him and the story he tells or the story she has heard from everyone else? No matter her choices, she will be scarred in every way for the rest of her life.

This is the re-written version. If you look on my profile, you can see a story of the same name. They follow the same storyline and plot but this one will be more carefully written and constructed. It's been a while since I wrote the other one so I would like to think my writing has much improved since then. This story is not based on true events or people and any similarities to real life events are coincidental and unintentional. This story is mine, I worked hard on the idea, planning the storyline and actually writing it. If anyone steals my ideas or work, I will not accept it.

The word I created in this story sets in a distant future, where humans were survivors of a gargantuan apocalyptic disaster. It changes the way of living but in some aspects, but humanity stays the same. The cycle repeats itself and you can always find similarities. In my world you have to be one of the Elite. After graduating from 8th grade it is a shitshow. You wait long intense nights filled with fear because you know one day they will come for you. They will get you mark my words on that. One day you will be ripped away from the comforts of your own home and shipped away to the cruise. None of the adults speak of what happens on the cruise. I can tell based off of the haunted look in there eyes it's nothing good. I've heard tall tales of a place full of hopes and dreams. They call this place High school. High school is just that though...a dream. In the real world all we have is the cruise. The cruise where some never return from. In my world it is survival of the fittest.
