With a mild case of schizophrenia, home-schooled, Christina, spends her days drawing the people in her head. But when she has to take a few elective classes in her local high-school, she meets snarky Chord, whom recieved a wake-up call from one of his techers, telling him to straighten up his act or he'll wind up in jail. In an attempt to clear his name, Chord finds himself helping out Christina. Is this just one of his many good deeds he has to do in order to clear his name? Or does it turn into something more? Will Christina get hurt in the process, or find the help she needs?

For multiple months, the main character has been hiding themselves from this boy, Tal, because they've been scared of what Tal may think of them. After a while of waiting and hiding, Tal finally notices the main character and automatically falls in love with them; they had love at first sight. Slowly this major change affected the main character, their everyday life, and experiences they haven't had before.
