Just A Pack Of Bubble Gum ( Short Story )

Avery since little has loved chewing bubble gum. Blowing bubbles when teachers weren't looking and chewing some after eating. Bubble gum made her calm down when mad. In 8th Grade, Matthew had asked Avery for some gum, Avery as a response said no. The next day Matthew asked again, Avery giving the same response. It continued until the last day of 8th grade.

Matthew asked, " Hey Ave, can I have some bubble gum?"

" No, and stop calling me that," Avery Replied.

" Please, today is the last day of school and you'll never see me again, just this once," Matthew begged.

" Matthew, for the last time no, " Avery said as she walked slowly to the doors of James Grove Middle school with chewy, watermelon flavored gum in her hand.

Matthew slowly walked near Avery as he yanked the box of gum out of her hand. Taking a piece and chewing it. Avery took the box away from Matthew as she gave him a death glare before saying, " I'll get you back Matthew Sanders."

Matthew just chuckled a bit before opened the doors and leaving Avery there standing as her whole body just felt anger.

A year after, Avery moves to New York, having to go to a new school. She eventually sees Matthew and finds out they attend the same school. She makes a revenge plan and uses her acting skills as an advantage. She plays mind games with him making him think she is in love with him, knowing that he liked her since 1st grade. Will she find true love with a boy that ruined their friendship?
