The imagery implies that despite the presence of this sorrowful design, there is an unforgettable attempt to shine or find light among the overwhelming gloom. The rose, though covered in darkness, still tries to maintain its presence, reflecting a struggle to maintain its essence and dignity despite the pain and adversity.
