In a land called Eskea, a massive forest named Curiosity's Grove (known as The Grove) is ruled by the dragon race. The dragons have an ancient prophecy about a human girl named Ember that would save their race from destruction. When Em was only an infant, the dragons snatched her from her home and raised her with love so she could protect their kingdom. For thirteen years she was living happily with her companion Tinder, a dragon prince and his mother, Queen Delta. But the years of peace change when a sorceress named Violet Dim emerges from the dark and evil part of The Grove, kidnapping Ember thinking that she would get in the way of getting revenge on the dragons. Tinder and Ember's pet fox, Slink, go on a journey to rescue Em. Little do they know, the trio would soon be trying to save the dragon's from going extinct forever.
