Kaylie, a freshman in high school, is the perfect student - one every teacher wishes they had. She turns her homework in on time and does well on tests. In her classes, she seems like an angel - a golden child.

Until you see her out of class. Outside of class, she doesn't care. The only thing she worries about is her school work and that's it. Your feelings? She'll stomp right over them and tell you to piss off.

She smokes, drinks and occasionally does drugs. Her homework and marks in school is the only stable thing she has in her life. She wants to keep it that way.

So, when Niall comes in, acting like he's been retained a few times, she isn't happy when she's partnered up with him in her classes to "help him succeed". She hates him. She hates that he might just wreck her perfect grades.
