    Marie Drayton was your average 18 year old. 
    
    She had a far too laid back father and a best friend, Jess, whom she is convinced she'll have to save from a stalker one day. 
    
    Everything was normal.
    
    Then the Carter family move in across the street and everything changed. Fast.
    
    It started with Marie accidentally crashing her car into a motorcycle belonging to the eldest Carter boy.
    
    It continued with the two of them constantly bickering and sniping at eachother - much to the amusement of  their respective parents.
    
    It ended with them being on the run from one of the most dangerous gangs in the country. 
    
    And all of this happened within a few days of meeting.
    
    They think the gang is only after Killian, but when a secret is revealed about how her father and the Carter family are connected, they very quickly realise that her life is in just as much danger as his.
