1st book in the FTBS series. Cassie's dream is to become chief detective , but at the moment she is stuck as an apprentice to the bossy Colin Sherlock in the busy city of Auckland ,New Zealand.
Soon a killer, the Black Shadow, is believed to be lurking the streets, and as the violence in Cassie's home grows, and more bodies are found,
Cassie is thrust out of her small home in suburban Auckland and into the deep,dark streets of Auckland.
Cassie is heading further and further away from her neighbourhood, and she soon realises that the killings seem to be following her...And so is the killer. -finished. Please do not copy anything in this series, or I will hunt you down and slap you in the face with my gumboot.

On his return from hiding the treasured item..he comes back to meet his daughter on the floor crying and he asked what happened only to see that his house was burnt down to the foundation..He was truly devastated by this event..He went in and saw bones and tried not to think of the fact that they were skeletal bones of humans only to have a glimpse of two skulls..He thought of crying his eyes out but he then kept himself composed for his young daughter..
