When Black Widow stumbles across a old S.H.I.E.L.D headquarters on her mission to find Hulk, she finds old files of a completed sabotage mission.
Tony Stark is trying to run his company but his separation from Pepper is hard on him. So when a evil comes and takes over he is powerless to stop it.
Captain America is called back to help along with Falcon but he doesn't want to leave Bucky without a cure.
With so many problems to fix the superheroes won't be able save the day without some help. Unfortunately the only help available are superheroes that disappeared long ago.
I don't own any of Marvel's characters or superheroes except the ones I made up.

What Happened?
This is a story about the Avengers, but not a normal one. Let me explain. While Loki is on Earth the Earth's Mightiest Heros (the Avengers) go to stop him (A miss understanding). As they are fighting something goes wrong with one of the spells that Loki casts upon them. Turning everyone of the Avengers into animals. The only way to fix this is to get Loki to reverse the spell. In the meantime, they get taken in by a woman named Phoenx. She has no idea that the animals she found on the street are actually the Avengers but through the struggle of finding Loki and beating Phoenx's own demons, they come together and make a pretty good team in the end. Two people with two very different missions cross paths.
