I rolled my eyes at her voice, and walked out into the main room, dropping my book as I saw who was in front of me.
"Alexa Stone, meet your new parents." Ms. McLorine said, pushing her glasses back up to the bridge of her nose.

Alexa Katherine Stone is your average 12 years old girl, except she has been in the "Caretaker's Adoption Center" for her whole life. The 'boss' - as she calls herself - is really bossy and rude, which doesn't help her with the annoying, mean girls that always bullies her. But one day, her life changes. Two people walk in, having no idea they're going to change Alexa's whole life. Will her life become better...or become worse?
