Emmaline, she could hear laughs, planes, and footsteps. However, now everything is muffled and whisper like, the doctors say she will lose her hearing eventually, she'll be deaf. The word rings in her almost broken ears. Deaf.
I wrote this a VERY long time ago, on my Storybird account so it's really not very great. Also, my writing abilities have improved significantly since I finished this. However, I want to publish it here just to see if it brings anyone even a bit of joy.

Just when she was starting to think that she might be able to be happy again, it all goes to crap. Her life seems to be a never ending string of heart break. Maybe the whole universe really is against her. Warning: This story's going to get a bit dark/depressing. And even though it's clearly labeled as such but I still feel I need to say this is a mature girlxgirl story so there will be sex. I asked her curiously. She looked at me and smiled, a smile that can make men drool, but I'm not because I'm still annoyed. "I am your girlfriend" she said sweetly, my eyes widened in shock, I know I'm drunk last night but I don't remember having a girlfriend. After an accident in eighth grade, Louisa Kelley was blind. Every day was a struggle for her as she tried to adjust to life both at school and at home, but life got easier with practice.
