When I was little I used to dream about seeing my face on the TV. I used to imagine my face on the newspaper and on the magazine. I would hear my name being called. My photo being taken every direction I turned. That was the dream. I didn’t care what I had to do as long as I became someone great. I wanted to become someone. I wanted to be that diamond in the rough. I wanted to be special. I was going to be great, special, spectacular really anything that made me different.
But this isn’t a story about my path to stardom. It isn’t my journey to greatness.
It is my journey to finding my path. It is my journey in becoming someone. It is my journey in finding me in all of my muddled up fantasies and the person who helped me find myself.
