It turns out that Magnus Bane has a 18 year old daughter named Juliet. Her mom was a shadowhunter. When Juliet turned 5 she had to leave the institute because her magic was trying to reveal its self. She then began living with her father. When ever Clary and Jocelyn would come to his house she had to hide.  Now that Clary has come for help what are Alec, Jace, and Isabelle going to think when they see her.

Jace has been a part of the NY police department for about a year now and even though his own sister was the victim this time, he can't choose family before his job. He swore an ode when he first got his badge and that is something he won't give up on that easy, not even for Alec. 5 years in prison may seem like an eternity and that is exactly what Alec expects it to be, but what he didn't expect was to meet Magnus Bane. He's 23 years old and arrested for murdering his very own stepfather, but the reason isn't what everyone thinks it is. It's much worse. Diagnosed with schizophrenia, Magnus doesn't quiet know what's real or not, but one thing he knows for sure is that ever since Alec Lightwood arrived at the prison, the voices in his head has begun to disappear.
