Once upon a time, a girl saw a tumblr post about a fantasy world where people stopped aging until they turned 16. From then on, someone would only age if they found their soulmate, so that couples could grow old together. Some people were destined to be alone, and kept aging even after they reached the "age of love". Many futures began and ended this way. Friends drifted apart, strangers came together.
This fantasy is a reality in Mae's world. She's been young for 8 years now, a long time by any standard, at least until she meets her true love... in the most unexpected way.
