Juniper, an extremely quiet introvert, lives in a worn-down home with her unstable grandmother. She is a narrator with a strong, independent mind who is nothing but brutally honest with herself (most of the time). Depression and a mysterious past haunts her daily life. Though her perspective shifts when she meets a young man, named River, who turns her cynical world upside down.

This piece was inspired by JD Salinger's "The Catcher in the Rye", and Silvia Plath's "The Bell Jar."
I do not intend to offend any people in regards to the main characters thoughts, feelings, and reactions. I simply want the story to be realistic to one's personal emotions and what they go through. This story is personal to me, though that character is not specifically supposed to be me. However, some parts of this story will be based upon my own life challenges and experiences.
This novel is in the works, so some things may change throughout development. This may feel like a slow novel for you readers, however every word I write is purposeful for slowly creating something worth understanding. Please be patient. :)

So...listen to something mellow (Ben Howard, Ray LaMontagne, Iron and Wine), indulge in a cup of steaming tea or coffee, snuggle up on your couch, wrap yourself in a cozy blanket, and open the pages to uncover a gracefully raw story.
