How We Burn Within by Dip_Ini

How We Burn Within (formerly titled Where We Collide) It began as a story about collision - two souls meeting by chance, caught between timing and fate. Where We Collide was the name then - a title that spoke of impact, of the way two lives could crash and alter everything around them. But somewhere between the first glance and the final silence, it became something else. Not just about the meeting, but about the burn that follows - the quiet ache that lingers long after the moment ends. Because sometimes, love doesn't collide - it consumes. It burns slowly, deeply, from the inside out. It started after the rain - a glance that lasted a little too long, a scent that refused to fade, a silence that stirred emotions neither could name. Distance should have been enough to keep them apart, but something stronger kept pulling them back. Pride and stubbornness tried to hold them still, yet the connection wouldn't let go. It wasn't love, not yet. Maybe not even attraction in its simplest form. It was something deeper - something that made them feel seen and unsettled at the same time. How strong can a pull like that really be? How far can two people go before it breaks them? Can what hides beneath the surface survive being exposed? And if it does - where does it end? How much can they take before it becomes too much? Maybe this is it - the place where passion doesn't just meet, it burns. Where every spark becomes a story, and every story leaves a scar. Dear Little Deaf Boy

87 parts Ongoing Mature

Jasper's voice was like waiting for rain during a drought. You got excited when the clouds went grey, hoping the sky would open and quench your thirst. Even a cool breeze felt like a tease. Every time Jasper opened his mouth it was the same one single drop from a leaking faucet. Yet it was never enough. He was mine. My dear deaf boy. I know you see me. I know you can see me call for your attention. I know you can feel my heart pound and my hands shake when I come near. You don't have to be able to hear to understand these three words. I love you. Do you hear me now?
