My short story for the CreatureFeature contest
Nikki believes someone or something watches her at night and only appears where it's dark. Because of that she never sleeps with the lights off.
One day Courtney, Nikki's enemy, invites her and her friend, Amber, to a party. This leaves them cautious since Courtney has never been remotely nice to them before. When they arrive at the party everything seems normal, however once 12:00 hits people start to die. It all starts with the flashing of the lights then one more is gone. Who is doing this? Is Courtney behind this or is there something more?

Just as she's setting up her equipment, the floor beneath her shifts and gives way, drawing her into a strange, shadowy place. She finds herself in an endless maze of yellow walls and flickering lights, with no clear way out. Back in the warehouse, her phone rings unanswered, her co-worker's name flashing in the empty room. Time didn't matter to her. She got up when the sun did and tried to sleep when the sun went down. because of this seemingly endlessness, she's forgotten her name, she's forgotten her family and she's forgotten everything she use to be. Now she was nothing. Living on the streets of a town begging for money and food from travellers that didn't know who she was, unlike the rest of the town that thought of her as something unnatural even though she doesn't know why. Constantly abused by the townspeople who don't understand her, she is left to die in an alleyway after a horrible run in with three drunk men. She was expecting to die and have her corpse eaten by rats and other vermin. What she didn't expect was to be saved by a woman that was everything but human. "Do you want to live?" This woman asked and when she looked into herself she knew the answer, it came easy through her busted lips. "Yes." From that day on she became something else, something not human, something extraordinary and from that day forth she will serve this woman who saved her life and maybe one day remember her name or be given one by her new Mistress. Maybe one day she'll remember who she was and maybe she'll even find the one person that completes her soul. From that day forth she became a Nightwalker. Completed. The city is a graveyard of neon lights and endless nights. Nero knows it. He feels it in his bones. Nothing was supposed to happen on the night of the lunar eclipse. Just another underground gig in an abandoned church, another cigarette burning between his fingers, another cheap vodka shot burning down his throat. But then he saw her. Something that shouldn't have been there. Something that was watching him before he even knew it existed. Something that stayed with him even after the music stopped. Since that night, the shadows started calling his name. Since that night, Sebastián was closer than ever. Since that night, she started showing up in his dreams. Nero's reality is starting to crack apart. His reflection doesn't always match his movements. His body doesn't always feel like his own. The city lights flicker like someone's turning the world off, piece by piece. And in the background, a voice whispers: "Don't close your eyes. Don't stop looking." Because the moment you do... You won't be you anymore.

This is a short story not a full blown novel it is my very first one so it is probably very bad but I do this for fun. I hope you enjoy it if not then I'm sorry. The camera works great for a while until one day some photos come out a little weird. After that Mia feels something is following her and it won't go away. In this story, three brothers (Fallou, Saliou and Mohamed) together with their two sisters (Mame and Adja), find themselves in a living nightmare with a group of friends, acquaintances, strangers and even pets, trapped in the garden of their house, forced to face terrifying, bloodthirsty creatures to survive the night that soon became far more terrifying than it should be. BACKSTORY: The idea for this story came to my sisters (Mame and Adja) and they convinced me to write it so they could read it before going to sleep. I spent a couple of months thinking about a plot, characters (some based on real people and some fictional) and a possible sequel.
