My short story for the CreatureFeature contest
Nikki believes someone or something watches her at night and only appears where it's dark. Because of that she never sleeps with the lights off.
One day Courtney, Nikki's enemy, invites her and her friend, Amber, to a party. This leaves them cautious since Courtney has never been remotely nice to them before. When they arrive at the party everything seems normal, however once 12:00 hits people start to die. It all starts with the flashing of the lights then one more is gone. Who is doing this? Is Courtney behind this or is there something more?

Mia is a great at taken photos she's always loved it since she was a little girl. One day she get's up enough money to buy a brand new camera. The camera works great for a while until one day some photos come out a little weird. After that Mia feels something is following her and it won't go away. Time didn't matter to her. She got up when the sun did and tried to sleep when the sun went down. because of this seemingly endlessness, she's forgotten her name, she's forgotten her family and she's forgotten everything she use to be. Now she was nothing. Living on the streets of a town begging for money and food from travellers that didn't know who she was, unlike the rest of the town that thought of her as something unnatural even though she doesn't know why. Constantly abused by the townspeople who don't understand her, she is left to die in an alleyway after a horrible run in with three drunk men. She was expecting to die and have her corpse eaten by rats and other vermin. What she didn't expect was to be saved by a woman that was everything but human. "Do you want to live?" This woman asked and when she looked into herself she knew the answer, it came easy through her busted lips. "Yes." From that day on she became something else, something not human, something extraordinary and from that day forth she will serve this woman who saved her life and maybe one day remember her name or be given one by her new Mistress. Maybe one day she'll remember who she was and maybe she'll even find the one person that completes her soul. From that day forth she became a Nightwalker. Completed. The Princess's Affection
Bianca's father died after she finished her national service, and it was quite difficult for her as she had to take on the responsibilities of taking care of her sick mother and siblings. The Takers are in the Backyard
Nance and her twin brothers Lane and John along with their father desperately attempt to keep the floodlights running as they pray for dawn's arrival. A coming fog of darkness led by The Good Man and his Takers threatens to snuff out their light in the night. The parts are short with most around 1,000 words (except for the first part which is 2,000ish words.) I had a nightmare one night and tried to write down what it was about. Unfortunately when I woke up in the morning all I had written was "The Takers are in the backyard." I came up with this short story as I was trying to remember what the hell I had dreamed about last night.Concluída

It came in the night, always at night, never heard, never sighted, but it haunted, haunted in the night. It was dark, it was cold, it was evil, it hid in the shadows, watching, waiting, taunting, and haunting. It brought horror, it brought nightmares but it left grief, it left despair, it stole all hope, it stole all happiness until there was nothing, nothing but madness and sadness. Claire Handerson was only 10 years old when her parents went missing in the night, and their not the only ones, now 14 years later when her godmother goes missing she finds herself having to go back to her hometown where it all happened, working to find out what or who did it, but it's not as easy as just solving a mystery case, there will be feelings, there will be love, there will be suspicion, there will be heartache, can Claire solve who has snatched all these people including her loved ones or will she become lost to the madness it leaves in its wake. In this story, three brothers (Fallou, Saliou and Mohamed) together with their two sisters (Mame and Adja), find themselves in a living nightmare with a group of friends, acquaintances, strangers and even pets, trapped in the garden of their house, forced to face terrifying, bloodthirsty creatures to survive the night that soon became far more terrifying than it should be. BACKSTORY: The idea for this story came to my sisters (Mame and Adja) and they convinced me to write it so they could read it before going to sleep. I spent a couple of months thinking about a plot, characters (some based on real people and some fictional) and a possible sequel. Just as she's setting up her equipment, the floor beneath her shifts and gives way, drawing her into a strange, shadowy place. She finds herself in an endless maze of yellow walls and flickering lights, with no clear way out. Back in the warehouse, her phone rings unanswered, her co-worker's name flashing in the empty room.
