Three years after the Battle of Hogwarts, Hermione finds herself alone and depressed after her nasty breakup with Ron. When Professor McGonagall gives Hermione the chance to live at Hogwarts, Hermione runs into an old professor she hadn't seen in quite a while.
(side note: I'm choosing to disregard the fact the Snape died in the Battle of Hogwarts. He's alive!)
