A young mermaid man meets barnacle boy in second grade. From there on, they were best friends, they spent every waking moment together. When Mermaid Man was a teenager, he started having feelings for Barnacle Boy. Mermaid man confessed his feeling, but Barnacle just did not feel the same. They both tried to hang out on weekends but it just wasn't the same. The boys grew apart. About 10 years later, the men reunited on a cruise in the Atlantic Ocean. Their once friendship quickly turned into a romantic relationship.

And you can't live without this love. The mere thought seems impossible. So you welcome the hurt, you embrace it and it's not until he is safe again does the pain subside.
