"I will protect you with my life." Ellie Miller is a 14 year old student leading a normal life with her parents and little sister. She is left alone with her sister for a weekend while her parents went in a buisness trip. But when they wake up the next morning, hell has broken out in the United States. The dead has risen and come back to devour innocent people, and Ellie knows she has to get her and her sister out of the city, and across the ocean to Bradford, England, where their parents are. The U.S Government has said that Europe was almost completly safe, and that there were a dozen military bases that sheltered people if they could get across the ocean. Ellie decides thats where her parents are, and swears to do anything to get her sister and her to safety. ------------------ "I will do absolutely everything in my power to get us to safety." I promse as I grip my sisters' shoulders tightly. She nods with a stern look on her face. I've never seen her so serious, so determined. And it gives me hope. Hope that something good will come out of all of this.

"I can't lose you like I've lost everyone else" I say, something inside of him clicks and his eyes turn angry "You have no idea what loss is" he says through clenched teeth. Joel is in his late 40's, he was there when the apocalypse started and has suffered ever since, until he meets Ellie and his entire perspective on life changes. This book follows four teenagers from four different parts of the U.S. when their lives are dramatically changed one day. When zombies become real and more than just horror movies and scary books, they're forced to fight to stay alive. What they don't know is how similar their struggles are, along with their goal: get to the supposed safe haven alive. (The book is under editing right now, and I'll be changing the location of the safe haven from Columbus to Cincinnati. I didn't really think it through when I first wrote this but I think that Cincinnati would make a little more sense. Sorry for any confusion!) *************** BEING REWRITTEN I started writing this at 14, and it started out as something I made just for fun. The story was mostly imporvised, and I don't like how it's turned out. I've had a lot of new and hopefully more interesting ideas, and there's so much that I decided to rewrite the whole thing completely. The story will be very different but the characters will be the same for the most part. It'll have the same style of writing with the different points of view, but separated between books instead of chapters, and I already have a storyline laid for the first 2 or 3.
