-This story is an updated version of "Infected: A Zombie Apocalypse Story."-
15-year-old Julia and her family originated in Orlando, FL for the past 13 years. However, their life takes a drastic-measured turn when they decide to move. Julia has to say goodbye to all of her friends that she held most dear. Julia remains pissed at her mom for a while.
Later in the book, Julia's father realizes by a news report that creatures are beginning to eat people alive. This caused Julia to love her mom again. It serves her right.
How can Julia remain pissed if she is scared shitless by the lifeless, and lifelike at the same time, beings that are roaming the streets?

The Monster seems to only be interested in Maria and targets her specifically, She has no clue as to why it's haunting her, no, hunting her, but she's determined to find out and put a stop to it before it can send the grim reaper her way. She wanted revenge for her dead parents, and the people she watched die around her.
