Forget Me Not

Karissa Jones has to go live with her mother's friend from highschool when her step dad's campaign manager says he is at risk with her reputation. Why she can't just go live with her father she doesn't understand.

Karissa is going all the way from a small town in Ohio to Hawaii for the summer. What will happen when her mother 'forgets' to tell her that her friend has children? What happens in Hawaii might not stay in Hawaii

"Just promise me one thing." He says looking into my eyes.

"And what is that." I said coldly.

"Forget me not, for if you do, I will never come back." He says letting me go.

The hardest part about walking away from someone is the part when you realize that, no matter how slow you go, they will never run after you.
