A modern retelling of Pride and Prejudice.

After graduating high school, Lizzie Bennet is looking forward to doing nothing but reading book after book and drinking copious amounts of tea. But when the mansion at Netherfield Park is bought by the wealthy Charles Bingley, her summer plans are thwarted completely by her insane family. Twenty dollars from her mother is more than enough incentive for Lizzie to investigate (stalk) Netherfield Park's newest owner to see if he's good enough to date one of the Bennet girls. 

But Charles Bingley isn't the only one moving in - his beautiful, charming-but-catty sister Caroline and his not-so-charming best friend William Darcy are joining him for the summer as well.

It takes place on the American west coast. It features an Asian-American Bennet family living in a small city outside of Seattle. It has very similar plot points to the original, but adapted to a modern setting. However, I don't think you need to have read Pride & Prejudice to read this! But how she feels about him is all based on prejudice masquerading as truth. His pride demands that he at least be honest, even if there's no hope she'll ever feel anything more for him than hate. This is the second book in a modern young adult adaptation of Jane Austen's beloved 'Pride & Prejudice'. *This is part two of a re-working of my story 'Netherfield Prep'. " I love pride and prejudice, and read lots of retelling of that book and thought to write one myself. The character Caroline Bingley is not a favorite of most the readers... Including me. But I imagined what if someone ended up being Caroline of that book. Will they change her character ? Will something interesting happen from it ? , My character Lizzy hills loves to read pride and prejudice and she ended up in the novel being Caroline Bingley... What would happen next ? I will add few lines from the original text to have the fun of it , some scenes will be totally changed for the enjoyment.
