When you're marked you have two choices; fight or die. Nance lives in the past, literally. Her city is a recreation of early twenty-first century society. To the outside world they're experiments, just rats running around a maze. In an impoverished future world, the city seems to be their only chance of finding where they went wrong, or so they say. Things hasn't been so good for this Earth-like planet. First, an expansionist empire ravaged the whole world thousands of years ago and disappeared but not for long. Second, they only have a dozen years till this Empire returns and ravage the world again. Things have been going good for the inhabitants up until the number 1 superpower, The Holy Mirishial Empire's emperor was assassinated by a militia supported by the remnants of the expansionist empire from long ago. HME, along with the Annonrial Empire, turned against the whole world and put them on the edge of losing. Unbeknownst to them, two countries of identical names and principles that came from different eras appeared out of nowhere. This may or may not turned the tide of the war in favor of the Coalition against HME and AE. I dont own Nihonkoku shoukan. So credits to Minouru.

Everything started in 2036. The pollution was so bad that the end of the world was predicted to be right around the corner. As complete panic set in around the world, the rich and important people were all gathered and placed on giant spaceships with enough resources and room to house generations of human beings. Before they left though, the government leaders fired As a result, most of the human population died off and earth was a complete wasteland. The little that survived started building local communities and trying to survive in the destroyed excuse of a planet. On the disaster of a planet, creatures mutated and were born out of the nuclear chemicals; creating new species and monsters that hunted humans. While hundreds and hundreds of years passed, the monsters kept evolving and the people kept adapting while still trying to keep a sort of community. They didn't want to lose all of their humanity and become nothing more than animals that hunted the monsters: then they would truly be no better than the monsters themselves. So they stayed civil while still doing what it took to survive.

New Orderia is a technologically advanced nation, I won't finish that shpeal about it, long story short they are testing weapons in another reality, war crimes will be committed. Now things with New Orderia rarely go as planned, so much so that half of their procedures are to address mistakes they made, often requiring a fuck off amount of bombs. They have one goal, figure out if they shot themselves in the foot by discovering inter dimensional travel, but they end up with fighting supervillains as they work.

The United States got power hungry after World War 1, so they began to devise a plan to keep gaining more control, not cluing the President in. The government descended into oppression for centuries, putting more control on the people, arrests for no reason, and checkpoints, like a living prison. People have to hide who they truly are.
