The odd group of four have been traveling weeks looking for Naraku. Everything has been normal for them. Demons challenging Sesshomaru, Rin singing, Jaken complaining, and Ah-Un grazing on blades of grass. Nothing could get "that" much better for them. That is until someone saves rin from a blood-thirsty demon. Sesshomaru notices her scent and aura is different than that of any other he has come into contact with. Jaken also notices this, so when he confronts her with it, she introduces herself as the Demonic Priestess.

Chiyomaru is Inuyasha's younger twin sister, a mortal girl who's demonic powers were taken from her in the womb by Inuyasha. Only powers that remained was the ability to heal quickly and the long life. About a hundred years ago, Inuyasha decided that it would be best that he walk away with Chiyomaru, after all, Chiyo had a happy life journeying the world with her best friend, Reiki, a girl who is exactly like Chiyo but with the ability to see the future in mental images during her sleep. Upon returning, Chiyo learns what happened to her best friend and spends the next 50 years making herself stronger all while disguised as a man to make travel easier. Inuyasha is awakened and she searches all over the place for Inuyasha. After teaming up with Inuyasha, Kagome, Miroku and Shippo, Chiyo leads the group to the demon slaying village where she once trained. They find the villagers slain before meeting Sango, who wished to kill Inuyasha who she believed killed her village. After seeing the truth, the group continues their journey to find Naraku and Chiyo crosses paths with the long foreseen true love that Reiki predicted that she'd meet one day, southern wolf demon tribe leader, Koga.
