After living in the outskirts of England for nineteen years with his pack, werewolf Jack Heilen leaves his past behind to marry Mia, a human. They move into the human-dominated city of New York. When Lily is fourteen, she becomes so sick that not even the highest ranked specialists can’t cure her, nor can they figure out what is wrong with her. Doctors say that her cells are fighting themselves. Jack and Mia take her home from the hospital, worried that this was their fault and that mixing human and werewolf genes was backfiring. They fear for not only the fate of their daughter, but also their two young sons. Suddenly, Lily develops a gift that not only saves her but also all those around her.
