After college Emily moved to a coastal town in Italy, working her days away at the gift shop of one of the most popular hotels in the city, all of her days seeming to blur together. That is until she met Mr. Thomas Avery, posh English business man visiting the city on a business trip. Their meeting seemed simply by chance, and soon something between them begins to grow. The only possible issue: he's almost twice her age. As things progress Emily has to figure out if she's going to follow her heart or listen to her brain whether the spark between them is worth it.

Sixteen, an exchange student, and a summer in Italy that changes everything. From getting caught in the rain at the Vatican to wandering the streets of Florence, from chaotic beach days in Sardegna to laugh-until-you-cry adventures in Naples, every moment is unforgettable. But when the summer ends, so does the closeness - and distance, life, and family struggles threaten to pull them apart. A story about first love, laughter, heartbreak, and learning that some memories are too precious to let go. (PS: this is a a real story, this is my actual love life. characters names are fake though and I actually had to go to therapy after all this romance bullshit, you're welcome i decided to write about it! i haven't written a fanfic in years and i'm thinking if i should write about my other ex even though he was way shittier than "Darren" <3)
