America Martel is in her senior year of high school at Watkins Mill, as her parents planned she'll go to a high-end college close to home, but as the school year comes to an end the seniors find themselves rushing to do the things they always wanted to do; beach parties, skipping school, crashing cars, and starting fires. America is hesitant at first but she has always wanted to surf although her parents refuse to allow it, as a result she turns to the boy she never thought she would-- Fletcher Quinn, adrenaline junkie and the big kahuna on the block, he agrees to help her but on one condition, she must pretend to be his girlfriend for the rest of the year. Will she rebel and chase her dream or follow the path that was lain before her?

Senior year has finally arrived for Tasha, Adam, Isabella and Nicole. There last year of school means they are going to need each other more than ever. Tasha has a big year ahead of her. She is in year 12 plus her sister just announced her engagement to Mr Wilson, Tasha's worst nightmare. Tasha finds that she is leaning on her boyfriend more and she loves him. She knows he will always be there for her. Nicole has problems of her own; her mother has come to town, the one person who Nicole does not want to see. Nicole wants her mother to go, to stay out of her life forever but it is hard to get rid of her. Isabella is at a loss of what she wants to do after school, just as Adam is but they eventually make up their minds and they can see that their futures are set. Matilda had regained her friendship with her best friend and she can't wait for year 12 to be over so she can return to Sandy Beach with a new attitude.
