Fantasy story set on a distant planet.  The Old Prophet comes with a revelation for the King of Men.  The Great Father will bring peace between the Lord of the Kaldarri and the King of the Men. The prophecy says that the two must warring kingdoms must become one before the Chosen One will come.  The Prophet decrees that their children should be united in marriage to bring peace between the two peoples.  Lord Lathan, the king of Men cannot bear to see his daughter or his throne go to a savage and refuses the offer. The stubborn King sets off a series of events that will culminate with the fulfillment of the prophecy despite his prejudice and hate.
