Fifteen year-old Aura is a girl with multiple problems: She gets death threats five times a day (at home, like Dobby), she gets bullied, she's the smartest in her class, and everyone makes her do things (sex for cash. What a sad life she has, she's not even eighteen!) 

On the other hand, her counterpart in another dimension with the same name as her, has no problems - she's very popular, worshipped, and very pretty. (Not saying that the other counterpart is UGLY, she just uses more lip gloss.) She gets nice comments five times a day at home (You're so amazing! Keep doing the things you do! You're awesome!), and she is also smart, just not as smart as her counterpart.

But one day, everything changes for the two -- a time machine. Bringing them together, but switching them into each others dimensions. Aura (the nerd counterpart) finally gets a boyfriend, though some bad things may happen. But as time continues to pass and tensions grow higher, Star hears whispers about a growing rebellion that could dissolve the current monarchy and bring her back home. She decides to help, along with her friends, and begins to realize that being young does not exclude her from the horrors of war, and she is faced with the fact that even if she is able to return home, nothing-not even her-will ever be the same. *Basically, a YA novel with teenagers being teenagers, more gay, more diversity, a lot more swearing, and darker humor. Something I'm writing for fun. Give it a shot if you so wish.

But whenever she needs help or when she's wasted or drunk the nerdy childhood boy is the one who gets her home and takes care of her and she has never even uttered a word of thank you. She doesn't even know how he feels about the pretty girl...in high school and college she pretty much gets wasted but somehow ends up as a doctor...After so many years they meet again at one of their parent's events hosted by one of their parents...the boy has changed into a real gentleman...A successful businessman and he takes care of her the same way he always did since childhood....finally the pretty girl starts falling for him and a beautiful love story unfolds with a few rough edges...
