I loved you, but apparently, the feeling wasn't mutual.

"Aiyana, Aiyana please wait, I can explain"

I stopped in my tracks without warning, forcing him to come to a sudden halt directly behind me and causing him to accidentally bump into me from behind - Though I internally question if I'd meant for it to happen as some kind of revenge. "What is there to explain? Its over Aiden. We're through"

He quickly stepped around me so that we were now standing face to face, he's a good three inches taller than me so I'm forced to look up at him and I feel myself slightly tense when I feel him take my hand into his, it practically engulfs mine - I used to love that. Not anymore. "No. We're not, lets talk about this please" Somehow, the gleam in his eye seems desperate and that makes my heart pound.

Normally, I'd of been swayed easily and let the pain of seeing him like this cause me to blindly loose myself in him, listening intently to his every word, looking for a way that I can help ease him of all his troubles - It hurts me to see him in pain. Not anymore, I can't afford it. I can feel tears pricking at the edges of my eyes "There's nothing to talk about, you've made your intentions perfectly clear. Apparently, I wasn't good enough for you"

His desperation turned pleading and I felt my heart skip a beat. "You're wrong. You are good enough, more than that, you're better than anyone deserves---"

That's when the tears come fully out "Then why did you cheat?"
