The story of one traveler's misadventures from Cape to Cairo.
After returning from six months of backpacking in eastern Africa, I wrote a creative non-fiction account of my journey. It was a trip that changed my life. I made several attempts at publishing it through traditional channels. It received some interest and I even got an agent, but ultimately it was passed on because publishers felt the audience for such a book was quite limited. I'm now in the process of novelizing it into a humorous coming of age story.

Imagine being somewhere you know so well. Suddenly, the lights are turned off and you don't recognize where you are. That's how going back to Cairo for vacation felt for Nour. He looks out beyond the edge and I can't seem to pull my eyes away from him. He smiles and speaks, but I can't hear anything he says.
