NOTE: This is a story I wrote in 8th grade during our Holocaust unit, when we read "The Book Thief" by Markus Zusak. In the book, a character named Max writes something for Liesel using the pages of an old book, altering the story. Out assignment was to create our own altered book with a Holocaust themed story. This was one of my favorite projects that year and I still have the actual book that I put together. I found this story recently and it was so cool to look back on it and also see how much my writing has evolved.
SECOND NOTE: The historical accuracy in this story is 99.9% likely to be not perfect. I wanted to point this out so that if somebody notices an error (whether it be big or small) they know that I am not TRYING to offend anyone. If anyone does end up getting upset, I'm terribly sorry (and that is a genuine apology).

Helios's retelling

Xalune - Echoes from the past
In a dystopian world, where the strongest prevails, having peace is a luxury. Especially when someone from the past is out to destroy everything we have built up over the past 15 years. And with Christmas approaching, our group get to face ten hellish days. Preview: In his fury, the chains have rubbed his wrists and neck raw, despite me trying to calm him down. He suddenly calms down when the screams in the cell next to us switch to the sound of bones breaking. Now he sits with foam on his lips and his eyes wide, looking that way. After ten minutes, the sounds of the boys in our cell have died down, and we all look at the wall that separates us from the crackling of the breaking bones. And then suddenly all is quiet. After a few silent minutes, our cell door opens slowly. From the ball of light from the ceiling, the little girl in the doorway is illuminated. She is completely covered in blood and doesn't move. Then she opens her eyes and carefully walks towards us. And despite everything, my first impulse is to crawl backwards, away from the unnatural calm radiating from her. ------------- After reading yet another great older brothers/younger sister story, where the family gets reunited after years of separation, the sister keeps the secret that she was abused and assaulted all along, and the brothers conceal their work in the mafia, I decided to give it also a try. The output of my story was initially to turn this around with openness and unconditional support and the torture should happen right in front of their very eyes. Because no story is complete without the (un)necessary bloodshed, action, humour and, of course, a bad guy. And who knows, to throw everything completely upside down, the main character may not survive. I won't write warnings above each chapter, because most of them contain violence, blood, torture, etc. Constructive criticism is welcome. Ow, and English is not my first, second or third language. So if I mess up somewhere, let me know!
The Footballer's Sister (Mario Götze)
*Just a disclaimer, I wrote this when I was very young and had absolutely no writing skills at all so read at your own discretion. My newer works are more developed and have maturer writing. Lia Reus is the little sister to the famous footballer Marco Reus. But she isn't famous for her brother's success in football. She is a part of the German National Ballet. Her whole life revolves around ballet and supporting her brother in his football games. Mario Götze is the German player that guaranteed Germany's World Cup win. His skills on the pitch are what made him who he is today. His life his football. He has everything he ever wanted, to play football, he has a beautiful girlfriend and he played for his country. Lia and Mario used to be best friend. When Mario played with Dortmund, Lia was just as close to Mario as Marco was. It wasn't as public but they were best friend. Until Mario moved to Bayern. Lia couldn't believe him and vowed to hate him for what he did. Even if her brother did forgive him, Lia thought it was unforgivable for him to leave her brother like that after years of friendship, to one of their rivals. But there is no such thing of hating someone after having been friends with them for so long. And Lia is going to have to accept that.Concluida

This story is actually from a song which is about one girl trying to convince herself that people have it worse than her and that she didn't need to commit suicide. All the girls represented one of her problems. There was one girl with braids, one that was short, one with a yellow cardigan and then the others that she didn't explain. But at the end, it explained her as short with braids and a yellow cardigan. So, the girl had her boyfriend break up with her, people steal from her and bully her and her family was abusing her at home. Also, with the last girl, it said what did I just say before she said don't do it please. Proving that she did the things that the girl with the yellow cardigan said. Sadly, in the song, she gave up on trying to convince herself and she committed suicide. Luckily this time, this girl has seven guardians, a big brother figure, a better father-figure who is their teacher to be the new Mafia Don to the Vongola. How will they handle trying to keep her from killing herself? Or will a new boyfriend keep that from happening ever again? Will she stop? Or will her boyfriend take things into his own hands really?Concluida

The story starts on February 13th 1941 it's Mildred Richmond's 13th birthday she invited all her friends, she opens her gifts and she gets a video camera she starts a video diary right away 1 day later her family goes into hiding because the nazis have invaded the Netherlands, Mildred's father, mother, 20 year old sister Raelynn, 7 year old sister Lupe, and 1 year old brother Vere go into hiding with a family of 3 who have a son named Adam and Adam and Mildred have a spark that comes between them.
