John Egbert is your normal, fellow dorky nerd. Being at the top of his class in every subject, he gets the chance to go to a better school....in England. Turning the offer down so he can stay with his father, he ends up moving anyway so his father can get a better job....in Texas. Not thinking he knows anyone in this new environment, he ends up meeting his online best friend. The coolest, smoothest David Strider.
Dave Strider is your average popular kid. Stealing hearts of girls, best bros with the dudes, and plain hard to get. But then a certain boy comes to town and steals his heart. Convinced that the boy is not a homosexual, Dave pushes down those emotions and avoids John. When John refuses to leave Dave alone, Dave agrees to hang out with the little derp. But a crazy slip up causes them to be the target of a certain "spider bitch," throwing the two in one crazy love story.
