His Prized Possession (BWWM)

Amina is eighteen years old and has just finished her last year in High School. After having the greatest childhood of her life, she was finally going to be on her own to peruse her dream of becoming a dancer, attending Julliard one of the best Performing Arts School in New York. Growing up, her parents were always able to give her everything she wanted and needed. She was never a kid who had to experience with out and she appreciated them for that....but things turn out to not be everything it seemed.

Amina comes home to find her parents tied up by one of the most famous Drug Lords: Emmanuel Bruno. She founds out her parents owe a debt to Bruno, revealing that the privileged life she had came at a price, and the price of other people's lives. Her Father has a lot of blood on his hands, taking her by shock. She's been raised by a criminal and she didn't even know it.

To make things worse, the parents that she thought loved her, paid their debt by giving her up to Emmanuel. Amina struggles with her new life of living with Emmanuel who has a very hard demeanor, causing her to live on eggshells in the beginning.

But that doesn't last very long as the two bump heads when Amina starts seeing who Emmanuel really is and calls him out on his issues while showing her dislike for his actions.

Never having someone call him out, it takes a while but eventually Emmanuel's walls come down and so does Amina's who has more in common with Emmanuel than she thinks. The two eventually fall in love.

As their love for each other evolves, things began to crumble. The people closest to Emmanuel believe that Amina is nothing but a distraction to him. So they take action, putting Amina in a situation she'd never thought she'd be in. Fighting to keep the man she loves safe. Literally.
