Revan, Jedi Knight, Saviour, Hero of the Republic. Those titles meant nothing now. He was no one now. On the run, hunted, the weight of failure crushing him. In hiding, he watched as the Empire rose, as the galaxy fell into darkness, as the few remaining Jedi, scattered and alone, fought a losing battle. He had failed them all. He wandered the galaxy, a broken man. The Empire's grip tightened, its tendrils of control and fear spreading ever wider. He watched as worlds fell, their populations crushed under the heel of the Emperor's boot. He knew he could do nothing to stop it. He was nothing but a failure, a shadow of his former self. He failed everybody who ever believed in him, Obi-Wan, Ahsoka, Padme, Riyo... and Anakin. The thought of him brought a bitter taste to his mouth. He had failed his brother. He had watched as Anakin had fallen, had become Darth Vader, had slaughtered younglings, had led the Empire to the brink of absolute dominance.
