Belaigh is introduced to the world, stick gun and attitude intact. The man with the sword and Becka run into trouble at a Chinese dinner. A trader in the A.A.C. (Autumn Aircraft Committee) is revealed.

Overall series description below:

In 2022, with the announcement of Earth's last days, the world is falling apart. From the government, to independent groups, to private citizens around the world, everyone is scavenging for ways to survive November 29, 2025. The end seems almost certain, despite an aligned effort by world superpowers and trillions of dollars invested to finance a shelter or spacecraft that can accommodate a mass number of people.

But Avery Johnston isn't dealing with the same issues. Neither are the people around the world dedicated to his cause. Because Avery Johnston is leading the construction of the Autumn Aircraft, a craft that only he and the people he teaches can build, that only he can pilot upon completion. It is a craft that can reach habitable planets, it is a craft far beyond its time. Since he was a boy, it was a vessel he's been able to build, and as an adult it's become his life's ambition to get 100,000 people on the ship, his sister chief among them.

But the world is still falling apart and countless people are finding out about what's been hidden by the Autumn Aircraft Committee for nearly ten years. From nut jobs, to evil geniuses, to well-funded, independent military groups, and even the U.S. government, all hell's about to break loose in an effort to gain control of the ship. With the clock ticking, Avery and the men and women fighting for his cause will have to give everything, maybe even their lives, to make sure the ship remains safe, and takes off before the world's end.

We now live on a synthetic planet designed and built by our ancestors who came together from all parts of the globe to devise a plan to save us. We have lived peacefully for over a century.. Until now. Our lives were threatened when a mysterious and deadly virus broke out, killing entire communities at a time. Maxine is an 18-year-old girl who is bored and lonely, living in California in the year 2351. She's always been fascinated with how humans used to live in houses, drive cars, and the fact that there used to be forests and parks everywhere. Now, after a war that nearly erased humanity, people are forced to live a strict, dull, communist lifestyle. Everyone seems okay with this way of life. Everyone except Maxine. Maxine had always been special; she was often able to predict events. How? She didn't exactly know...yet. When she starts having dreams about a tropical island where people live as they did in the 21st century, she meets the man of her dreams: literally. Her new boiling emotions bring her to wonder...what if it's a real place? When she starts her search for the island and bumps into Elis-the man in her dreams-she suddenly knows it wasn't all just a making of her imagination. Finding that island could mean finding the answers to her burning questions, and maybe even answers to questions she didn't know she had. However, not everything is what she thought it would be when she finally finds the island, and her dreams become a harsh reality. Elis turns out to be someone else, and when another man swoops in every time Maxine is in danger, she becomes confused about what love really is. The Advisors, the ten women governing the world, want to assimilate the people of the island, not knowing that those people have an extreme advantage over them. Maxine also learns that her family has been lying to her about who she really is. Ultimately, when the Advisors come to destroy the island, she must face the fact that she is the key to the island's salvation, and embracing her rapidly developing abilities is the only way to do so.

At first I thought I'd pick something a bit out of my comfort zone (so.... NOT SciFi for once...) to expand my horizon, but when I saw a prompt about time travel I was immediately inspired. Please keep in mind, all of this is WIP! The title, cover, and some of the content might change at any time... I have an outline and I worked hard to come up with a compelling and consistent story line, but due to the nature of the story (timey whimey stuff!) I might have to revise things a few times as I write. I'm grateful for any feedback and I hope you enjoy :)

Year 3071. Exoplanet Steel-1, the only planet in the system along with it's moon, was once a site for mass drone production factory called "Chimera's Dawn" by the JC Jenson company, later modified into a secret research facility, renamed to "Chimera's Fall", to investigate what caused the destruction of Earth and reason behind drones turning against humanity. Few years after the events on the Earth, something known as "The Absolute Solver" created a deadly energy shockwave on Steel-1, resulted in planet's decaying state, annihilated all humans, destroyed most of the machinery, and deactivated or damaged most of the drones on the planet. The surviving worker drones have established a survival base in an abandoned Communications and Surveillance Center called the "Steel Eye". The story begins with an experimental prototype drone called Zero from the "Project Firewall" and his friend, Millie, a maintenance drone who survived the shockwave, managed to reactivate themselves, confirm past events thanks to the large amount of data stored in the facility, and ultimately decided to relocate from the destroyed facility in order to search for other survivors, but before that there is one more objective left, which is to find the cause of the recent appearance of a strange energy reading in the containment cell... https://youtu.be/-yV_kv1P3co ^ Link to Main Theme of the Story :D This is my first fanfiction, my first real fanmade (focused on story and characters, not shipping, but expect a romance story arc there) story and first time doing something publicly, so consider me a noob. I tried my best to make it interesting, likeable, understandable and describing a lot. I know how to english, but sometimes I do stupid mistakes, so this also should be taken into consideration, despite rereading it countless times. Comments and Feedback more than welcome. I love lore, so expect a lot of descriptions in the story. Enjoy and thanks for reading.

100 years ago, amidst WW3's nuclear bombing, a deadly virus was released in the atmosphere and nearly wiping out the humanity. It lives inside the human brain thriving on the empathy receptors, leading to irrational behaviour and ultimately brain death. To slow the damage, scientists created L.O.V.E, short for Living Off Vital Emotions, a nanovaccine that numbs the virus and switches off all strong emotions. As a last resort and with a dying planet, the Supreme Government created the City, a place to contain the infected survivors suitable for the experiment. Those in the first stages of illness became ideal candidates to receive the neuroinhibitor. Having their feelings restrained and their memory altered, those who come of age are designated a life partner through a Selection process, thus preserving the humankind. A few decades after the trial had started, scientists had a major breakthrough. The nanites, which are highly chemically reactive organisms, are changing their bio-engineered purpose when dopamine levels are high. With a new generation of nanoids, stronger and smarter to fight the battle, the virus doesn't have a chance. Many attempts were made to create a man-made version of synthetic dopamine and each time the outcome was a disaster. Their goal is to create new generations, immune to the virus. These are called Purebloods, the offsprings of those who find pure love, the only cure to save them from a violent death. Running out of time, the Experiment entered in its final stages. To minimize the threats, the Colonies have sent their best soldiers to oversee the trial and protect its key subjects. If only things were going according to plan, or better...stay hidden. With Iron Guard, the resistance outside the walls, hunting the Purebloods too, will the trial save human race before it's too late? #3 in #dystopianfuture (27.06.2020)

In the year 2040 humanity was struggling to keep up with supply and demand and as a result many smaller countries collapsed while larger ones started to fall apart. To keep themselves alive the biggest nations came together designed and assembled new technology to keep humanity floating. While the new technology like nano machines able to construct whatever was needed and hydroponic farms that produced more food then what was ever produced before they were unable to create a new source of energy to sustain this. Desperate for something they decided to use Mercury to begin constructing a Dyson Sphere they started in 2044 but when the sphere was only 8% complete in the year 2045 an alien species attacked humanity. It wasn't without warning however a number of decoded messages from probes sent by them indicated humanity was ready to join the galactic council but would need to endure a trial. Humanity was not ready for it the first alien wave killed 40% of the population now down to 2 billion and a fraction of their most intelligent scientists they needed something else. Using the cores of the alien invaders known as the Metrix they created the Armorers using the cores of the aliens with the nano machines they were able to form weapons capable of fighting the Metrix. Only a few people were capable of linking with the alien cores but those who survived the initial attack were the best rated. In the remaining significant counties in the world the US, Russia, Britain, Japan, and France Battle Academes were constructed to teach Armorers. It has been six years since the attacks first started the Metrix mothership stayed in the orbit of Pluto all this time sending parodic attacks that were repelled most of the time with minor loses.
