As a child, I used to think that fairy tales endings could happen in real life. After all, the story of how my parents met played out like a fairy tale.
Until one day, it just didn't anymore.
Similarly the way that I had met him played out like a fairy tale too, until it didn't.
There are no happy endings in real life. I know that now. But even with the way things are between us, I can't get myself to leave him.
