Angela was 19 when she joined overwatch,her parents were killed in the omnic crisis and ever since then,she just wanted to help.
Gabriel Reyes doesn't think a young woman like Angela should be here,he sees her as just a kid at the adult table,he doesn't want her here. He doesn't want anything to do her.
But as the two really get to know each other,she sees him as a burnt marshmallow. Edgy on the outside,but sweet and squishy on the inside.

Welcome to my take on the Overwatch lore! This is a continuous story so I recommend you to start from the beginning. Votes and comments are highly appreaciated, I love reading your thoughts. :) It takes place during the Overwatch/Blackwatch era and mostly centers around Gabriel Reyes (Reaper), Jack Morrison (Soldier 76) and Jesse Mccree. Angela Ziegler(Mercy) and Gabriel Reyes(Reaper) were apart of a group called Overwatch. Gabriel Reyes and Jack Morrison(solider 76) led Overwatch, until morrison's skills got him promoted. Then Reyes moved to a command called Blackwatch. (a covert operations unit.) Then Overwatch gets disband/torn apart and the PETRAS ACT renders all Overwatch activity. Angela & Gabriel: After the war with the Omnic Crisis, Angela and Gabriel start to see life better with each other, but then an explosion happens at Overwatch's Swiss headquarters mysteriously kills both Reyes and Morrsion. Angela is heartbroken by the news and takes Reyes claimed death with sorrow. Years past and Angela runs an foster program and now finds out what really happened to Gabriel. Will Mercy and Reaper get a happy ending even if they might not love each other anymore?
