Moving to a new city is never easy. Many teens dread the idea of going to a new school, making new friends and trying to fit in all over again. It was already difficult the first time, but not for Crystal. For her, it's a fresh start. It's a chance to escape from her demons and to bury her haunting past. Being labeled as the nerd kid was never easy for Brian. When he was in middle school that's all he was. As well as the punching bag for all the jocks. When an incident turned horribly wrong, Brian vowed to himself that he would never be weak again. Now he was a popular jock who had everything a 17-year-old boy could ask for. The downside is he has to hide the sweet 14-year-old nerd. The caring and compassionate boy who loved reading poetry and volunteered at homeless shelters. That guy has been buried so deep and it would take an army to dig him out. Or in this case a girl. Follow these two as their love changes their future in ways they have never imagined. Secrets are spilled and their past threatens to catch up with them. This wasn't going to be an ordinary senior year.

Jude doesn't talk. He can't, even when he wants to. They don't want to hear what he has to say, and they only use their words to hurt him. So why even try anymore? Starting at a new school seems like the perfect opportunity to blend into the background, but it isn't far enough away to start over. Some people just won't let him forget about his past. The teachers don't understand. He can't tell them why. He can't say anything at all. Ross understands. Ross writes to him. Slowly, he pulls Jude out of his shell, waiting for him to say something. ----- Say Something is a story of overcoming fear with the help of friendship and love. As someone who has struggled with anxiety, I tried to do something a little different with my writing style this time by including a lot of thoughts and feelings rather than a ton of description and detail. I'd like to add that it mentions things like sex and violence but I don't plan on going into any graphic detail in this story. There is also occasional cursing. I hope you give it a chance and leave feedback for me as I post new chapters over time. Thank you so much for checking it out!
