A Legend Is Born
From orphan at fourteen to immortal royalty at nineteen, how the heck did that happen? Nineteen-year-old Lissa witnessed the brutal murder of her parents by blood-thirsty vampires at the tender age of fourteen. She would have suffered the same unpleasant fate had tall, dark, and mysterious stranger Max not intervened. Every night since Lissa, along with an elite group of fighters, trains and patrols the mostly abandoned streets around the city of Buffalo, NY. They quietly thwart the dastardly plans of rogue vampires and cursed shifters in an attempt to protect mankind. Having been told that all shifters are evil, Lissa is taken by surprise when she learns that there are good ones in the world - the Guardians. And she's bonded with one of them, an ultra-rare occurrence amongst Guardians in recent years and unheard of between a Guardian and a mortal. When a typically fatal injury threatens to end her, her bond-mate throws caution to the wind and uses his own blood to save her. The consequences could be disastrous when Lissa wakes up to find she is no longer human, and not only a shifter herself but the shifter queen. ***NOTE*** The first few chapters of this story were previously published under a different cover.Complete

When Phoebe is woken up by James, the boy she's been crushing on since she can remember, she's surprised to find him in a panic. His sister Kara is missing and he needs Phoebe's help to find her. Following hunches and the wordy clues of an annoying preteen, Phoebe and James discover that Kara has been taken, but she left a message for her brother: Tell Phoebe the truth. James begrudgingly unveils the family secret he's been keeping all his life: he and Kara can "shift" into dragons. Real, winged, magical beasts that have been hunted for hundreds of years! No longer safe, James has no choice but to flee the hunters that took his sister, and Phoebe demands to be brought along. Her gut instinct, which has always been supernaturally accurate, begs her to go, putting her on the path of a wild adventure. Book one of the Shifter Series. Arron had been asking his father if they could move for the better half of his freshman year because of the other shapeshifters and humans bullying him, but when his dad suddenly dies in a car wreck on the way home from work, his mother decides it's time to go. Arron thought that she just couldn't take the constant flood of memories... everyone in their town knew his father and always offered their sympathies and stories, but they didn't understand that it hurt her more to be reminded of him, than it helped. So now Arron calls Ridgedale home, and while it's definitely different than Washington, he could only hope that the kids at his new school weren't just as 'welcoming' as the ones at his previous one.Complete
