Shot down, kidnapped, chipped, caged. We were nothing but guinea pigs to them. Sometimes an experiment would be a complete success (just like mine), but if it failed they'd just leave you to suffer until you die. Every day, me and Phil would wish that we could escape and go back to our normal lives, despite us being turned into mutant "freaks". Would the world even accept us like this?

Sorry for anyone who likes "Fang" and onwards, but honestly, I just can't stand the rest of the series from there and how the series ends (*SPOILERS* although I love the Fang story, I just hate that Fang abandons the Flock at the end). So this is set in an alternative world where "Fang" and every story after that doesn't exist.All Rights Reserved

They would come and force us to be part of painful, tiring experiments. This already happened once, we don't want it to happen again. If you promise not to tell anyone, I'll tell you. Fern and I have the ability to communicate with each other and other telepathic people without moving our mouths over long distances. And... We have fire and ice powers.

I was innocent then, but now I know that anything can be hidden under a small platform in the woods with a secret bigger than the world itself. I was given life that day, until it all ended months later; the day I took my last breath.
