Red: 20 years old. Born in Pallet Town, Kanto, on August 8th. Champion of both Kanto and Johto regions at ages 11 and 12. Classified as "Fighter".
Yellow: 18 years old. Born in Viridian Forest, Kanto, on March 3rd. Defeated Elite Four Lance at age 10. Classified as "Healer".
Red and Yellow have known each other for 11 years. Best of friends, and are both Dex Holders. However, after everything that has happened over those 11 years, Red always found himself being saved, and struggling to protect those he loved. Realizing his weakness, he left Kanto to train in the far away region of Sinnoh, only leaving a note, in a small home of the forest of Viridian. How will Yellow react? Will the Fighter and Healer realize their feelings towards one another in each other's absence?

This is the second installment in the 'Pokémon Red' series. Red, a 10-year-old Pokémon Trainer, after rejecting the oppurtunity to become the Viridian City Gym Leader must continue his quest of becoming a Pokémon Master to the Johto Region. A - The book crosses over with @Bossun24 's Pokemon Leaf Chronicles for 6 chapters. The crossover had been planned 1 year prior to its publishing. Q - Why is Leaf replaced by Lyra? A - Leaf is not replaced by Lyra, both characters are different in their own ways. I wanted to get Leaf out of the picture for a different kind of character growth. Lyra is Red's cousin sister, with Red being an experienced trainer, he acts like a mentor to her. Q - So time travel happens in this one? A - It does, and its fun how it plays out. Q - Who is this Masked Man? There was a masked man in the manga too. A - While the idea was original, a mystery man who structures every Team Rocket plan and assists Giovanni. I was shocked to see that the manga had someone named "Masked Man" as well. Q - Who is this Masked Man? And why is he important? A - A mystery man controlling every aspect of a criminal organisation and has been the true mastermind of Giovanni's every plan? Sounds pretty important to me. As for his identity, I was very unsure if I was ever going to reveal it as it was not very important at first until the second book was coming to an end.Complete
