Benjamin Grieve was a revolutionary some seventy odd years ago. His efforts to give refuge to the unmentionables of a divided nation are forever imprinted in history; however, his means didn't bring about favorable ends. The bourgeoisie are still wealthy. Religion is being used to force subjugation. And illness has become common place for the destitute. The only remnants of Grieve's teachings are alive and working in Corbyn Hawkes, a doctor who has a soft spot for missing limbs and a son destined to be an innovative engineer.

41 Partes Concluida Contenido adulto
Doctor Benjamin Abbott started off his career as surgeon, working in all parts of the world with one goal...to bring medicine to people who would never see it otherwise. With a brilliant mind and determined drive he quickly found himself working for pharmaceutical companies, research labs and governments across the globe. Working with so many people from so many parts of the world he should have been prepared for any place his career could take him. He could never be more wrong about that.... Ben's Last mission left him freezing and alone on a desolate island in the North Atlantic, or so he thought until he was captured and at the mercy of of an entire warrior race. An undiscovered breed of humanoids with a thirst for battle and no regard for human life. He is quickly duped into marrying a woman who had become infatuated with him, and soon learns the price of such a mistake. The only way to keep himself and her alive is to use his healing powers to barter not just for his freedom but for his protection. As word spreads of his skills he finds he is little more than a trophy and commodity to the Joutone, kidnapped, bartered for, traded, fought over, but never to return home. Ben's only hope for survival becomes the one beast who seems to want nothing more than to see him dead. It is at his mercy that he learns there is no hope of ever seeing home again, and that the rest of his life will be a struggle for survival.

Brain damage can drastically change a person. It can turn a kind, outgoing human being, into an rude, arrogant jerk. But can this happen to an artificial intelligence? Can a robot designed to be passive, get so damaged it develops violent tendencies? Mephone does his best to appease Cobs, but it seems his best is never enough. Everything he does brings nothing but disappointment. Usually the punishments for his mediocrity are relatively tame. But one day, in a drunk fit of rage, Cobs goes too far. And the result? Mephone finds himself battling overwhelming, violent desires he's never had before. Overtime they only become more and more irresistible. He struggles not to act on them, but he's only so strong.
