Penelope Ivory. Witty, hardworking, and hates meeting new people. When her father is introduced to a brand new job in a different state, Penelope grows to be devastated. Not only is she going to miss her best friends, Wendy and Max, but she hates change. The thought of the word made her cringe and left a bitter taste in her mouth that made her want to throw up.

On her first day of school, which is embarrassingly in the middle of the school year, she has trouble making new friends and the process of starting all over in a brand new city is frustrating. Not only does she have to deal with school, but also her seventeen year old big sister Brooke, who comes back home after she ran away three years ago.
