Kaia Davis was raised in the hood of Baltimore, since she was a little girl. At a young her father left her mother leaving her to care for Kaia and her siblings. She saw how men treated her mother, and how her brothers treated women, and she swore she would never trust or depend on a man. Despite of Kaia being raised in the hood, that wasn't who her character was. She was a smart and caring person, but that was hidden behind the mask she wore, she didn't want anybody to know who she was on the inside, because she knew she wouldn't be accepted. When Kaia is forced to go to a new school over the tracks, her limits are pushed to the test.
Joseph Spencer was a rich kid, no sugar coating it. His parents ran a family business, that he was expected to work for when he was older. Everybody viewed Joseph as stuck up, and arrogant because of his lifestyle, but that wasn't who he was. Money never made Joseph happy, it just distracted him from what didn't make him happy. The one thing Joseph wanted was to be truly happy.
Joseph bumps into Kaia, and both of their lives change.
Naomi Lowar grew up in a conservative house hold which led her to be one of the more innocent girls at LakeCrest. She hardly ever went to parties, and she never dated boys considering most of their student body is gang affiliated.
Though that doesn't stop her from joining anything at school. Since she runs most of the clubs, a cheerleader, and hosts the pep rally's and games she's known around school. Everyone loves her for her beauty and her kindness.
That is until she's hit with reality when she's forced to tutor eighteen year old white Issac Jacobson. A former student at LakeCrest that took a year off to do jail time leaving him retaking his senior year.
Issac and Naomi clash when she shares her dislike for his gang and what he does. And they clash even more when Issac responds.
