It's been two years since Rose Weasley left Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Even then, she didn't know what she was expecting to become of her life, but she knew her family, she knew her friends, and of course, she knew Scorpius Malfoy better than anyone else.

But a lot can change in two years. People grow. People get jobs. People get separated due to life keeping them too busy for each other. And then other people leave. Scorpius was one of those people. He left to follow his dreams, as they say. Yet, Rose never expected it to take this long. No one did.

Can Rose move on from him fully? Or will he somehow sneak back into her life after months apart?

Rose Weasley has always been the top of her class. She got it from her mum, the pure determination to soak in all the information that she learned because to her, there was nothing more interesting. But at the start of her sixth year, she is already feeling stumped, and not because of the higher-level N.E.W.T classes that she is taking. No, this is because of a Malfoy. Her parents were never too thrilled that she was friends with the kid, but it didn't stop Rose, especially not when she couldn't even see her best friend/cousin without also seeing him. Along with Rose, Scorpius was also one of the top students in the class. He was her only real competition. And the friendly competition never hurt anyone, well, not until this year. Rose can't put her finger on what it is exactly, that has caused this shift in her friendship with Scorpius and she hates it. She hates not knowing the answers to things, and this one replayed in her head all the time. She's stumped trying to figure it out, of course not realizing that it's her cluelessness that's the real problem. This story is filled with all the different types of love, family, friends, and yes, some romance. They'd been best mates since the moment she scared the bullies off on their first train ride to Hogwarts. He'd been in love with her since the moment in the fourth year when she scolded him for falling off his broom but proceeded to clean up his wounds with a gentle touch. How in the world could she think he'd ever forget her? "You really think I could forget you?" Rose shrugged staying silent, as she picked at a loose thread in his sheets, refusing to meet his steely gaze. Tomorrow was their last day of exams, which meant Scorp was leaving tomorrow night. They had snuck up to Scorp's dormitory to get a few precious moments alone, while the rest of his dorm mates were off at his going away party. He still couldn't believe that by this time tomorrow he wouldn't know the next time they would see each other. The very thought killed him. Even though he'd known for over a year now that this day would come, he still wasn't ready for it. He wasn't ready to let her go just yet. He had a feeling he never would. At least not completely. Gripping her chin delicately, he raised her face so that their eyes met. "I could never forget you." Before she could argue or think up some other absurd thought, Scorp guided her lips to his. Rose kissed him back sweetly. After nearly a year together he still wasn't sick of kissing her. He pulled away to look into her pale blue eyes, hoping he was conveying everything that she meant to him with his next words. "I'll love you always."

Rose thought that she had always hated Scorpius, but sometimes hate turns into love, and that's exactly what happened with these two. Warning: I wrote this when I was around 11-12 years old, obviously not having much experience with more formal writing at the time, so don't expect too much from this. It's fast paced and a mess, and the only good thing about this is the fact that it's a Scorose fanfic.
