~There's a thin line between LOVE and HATE~

Kelly Simon is a girl with a dysfunctional family, an alcoholic mother, A separate father, she's all by herself. She enters a new high school hoping to graduate but on the first day of school she makes the mistake of slapping a boy, who made a pass at her, AKA Wesley Reece.

Wesley Reece is the typical jerk who thinks everyone is below him, he sleeps around with girls and ditches them the next day or that's what everyone says. When he made a pass at the new girl he gets slapped. With a bruised ego Wesley wants revenge.

Pranks are thrown around, brutal ones. Wesley hates Kelly and Kelly hates Wesley. But things happen Wesley leaves town for an unknown reason which only his best friend Blake Sanders know. 

Kelly thought that after two months of no Wesley she was free but then dysfunctional family happens to her and she has to move with her father and start school at a private school where on the first day she meets someone she least expects to meet : The One and Only Wesley Reece and now he wants be friends with Kelly which she doesn't want. 

Secrets, motives, anger, school, hate and a jerk with everything love might just be around the corner.

But one night something happens which finally pushes him over the edge, and as a result, he leaves his house the next morning with two things: his mother's gun and a plan. He and Mikayla are fighting habitually, his home life is still unbearable, and his time at school is hardly any better, made worse by a bully named Calvin. Their mutual dislike of one another leads to a lot of hostility, routinely leading to Jay being sent to his school's principal. One confrontation in particular goes much too far, resulting in Jay's expulsion from school. With everything seemingly piling up, Jay is very close to his breaking point, and late one night he is blindsided by the unthinkable, pushing him much too far and effectively planting in his mind a cruel and horrific plan for revenge.
