Sparks fly and horns lock on the Dottie Belle Ranch in Plateau, Arizona!

Clint Slade is a well-known hired killer. What he does for a living has never been questioned nor given an explanation. The dime novelists love his work to pen to paper, and young boys see him as the epitome of a heroic lifestyle. He lives a lonely life of solitude as he travels all over the country, and that’s the way he likes it. He doesn’t see the need for other people and his latest job makes him wonder why he even bothers to try to understand them.

Bliss Cooper loves her life without the ties of a man or an interest in one. She’s the daughter of a rich ranch owner in Arizona with more than what she needs. Yet when her father becomes overprotective about notes threatening her life, the life she loves so much comes crashing in on her. What seems to her like overkill on her father’s part just might change her life forever.

Colt Kidd can't hide it for much longer. Being the foreman of a ranch is a challenge of it's own, but when he starts having complicated feelings about his boss' daughter and long-time best friend, his life gets a whole lot more confusing. He knows that he can't hold a candle to what Bliss really needs, but he would give his whole life to try.

Jessie White stands out from the crowd. As a Southern woman, she defies the typical expectations. While others her age are embarking on new careers, Jessie's upbringing on a ranch alongside four brothers equipped her with skills many would balk at. She's adept at horseback riding, calving, stall cleaning, and more. Fiercely independent, Jessie refuses to rely on any man, a resolve hardened after heartbreak at the hands of Max Lane, a rancher's son, two years prior. Jessie has resolved to take up bull riding, a skill that appears to be a family legacy. Her lifelong dream has been to ride a bull before an audience, but now, her ambition has shifted to rescuing the White Family Ranch after a substantial portion of their funds vanished and debts began accumulating. Max Lane's family is eager to buy the White Family Ranch, but Jessie refuses to let him take away the one thing that sustains her. Being a beauty bartender owner and a female bull rider makes things challenging. Everyone says she can't do it because she's a woman, but Jessie is determined to prove them all wrong. Initially skeptical, Trace Black doesn't recognize her potential until he witnesses her mount a bull for the first time. Although he may appear arrogant externally, that pales in comparison to his internal complexity. Trace and Jessie are initially oblivious to their chemistry, though it's evident to everyone around them. As Jessie gathers the courage to express her feelings to Trace, the things she dreads occur. However, it doesn't make matters worse; it alters everything profoundly. *WARNING* Book contains language, child loss, trauma, etc. Thank you for choosing my story! The Ballad of Odessa Cross

15 parts Complete Mature

In the blood-red dusk of a dying West, her name rides like thunder. Odessa Cross-black lipstick, golden eyes, and a kiss as fatal as her draw-is the kind of legend they whisper about in outlaw towns and lawmen's nightmares. Born of violence and raised on grit, she's as mysterious as she is deadly, and the only truth anyone agrees on is this: Odessa doesn't choose sides. She survives them. With two fiercely loyal lovers-Rhett, a brooding gunslinger haunted by ghosts, and Dodge, a reckless wildfire with too much charm and not enough fear-Odessa forms the notorious outlaw gang known as the Sunblood Pact. Together, they carve a path of myth and murder across the frontier. But even legends bleed. When an old betrayal resurfaces in the form of Ivy-Odessa's former sister-in-arms turned ruthless queen of Clearwater-loyalties fracture and hearts break under the weight of past sins. Ivy wants more than gold or revenge. She wants Odessa to hurt. As love twists into jealousy and devotion turns deadly, Odessa must face the echoes of every person she's loved and lost, and the ghosts of the two men who once worshiped her like the sun. And through it all, a lone gunslinger tells her story in a bar at the edge of nowhere-never knowing the woman herself is listening in the shadows, smiling at the lies they chose to believe. ⸻ Some outlaws get hung. Some get hunted. Odessa Cross? She walked away from her own legend.
