Darkness. I was surrounded by darkness, I could feel that I was lying on a soft mattress, too soft, the silk sheets was caressing my cheek, 'Wait! Silk?', I thought alarmed and woke up with a start, I found out that I was in a dimly lit room, the walls were of color purple and white, "Elena?", I called out to her, then remembered that she was not strong enough to contact me, my eyes scanned the room, it was spacious with 3 doors, I guessed leading to the closet and bathroom . I looked down at me and saw that I was not in my normal leggings and tank top but in a frilly night, I looked at it in distaste as I inspected the material, it seemed to be expensive, the ruby pendant was still attached to my neck, "I see you're awake now My love", I heard the same deep and husky voice I heard before fainting, looking across the room I tried to find who was talking to me, but I couldn't see anyone, squinting my eyes I saw a movement in the dark corner of the room, " who's there? Show yourself", I said , proud that my voice did not waver. I squinting my eyes I could see a silhouette of a person who was leaning in the dark corner, " come forward", I said with a firm voice, " or are you a coward who is afraid to show your face?", I added with venom ." Quite the opposite my love", the man chuckled and replied in his husky voice, suddenly I felt a breeze of air and found myself staring into emerald green eyes, they were so hypnotizing that for a second I forgot to breathe.

My death notebook was out. I surreptitiously slid it into my backpack.
He offered me the cards. "Pick a game, Rose?"
"Um."
They looked at me.
"How about cheat?"
"Never heard of it," Alexander said, collapsing to sit on the floor with his back to my bed.
Gabriel sat cross-legged. "Show us," he said.
I knelt to complete the circle, taking out the cards and shuffling them. Alexander snorted and snatched the cards out of my hands to shuffle them himself.
"I got it, drunk girl."
"I am not," I said, tugging on the cards. My fingers tangled with his. He let them go.
I distributed the cards among us, my hair swinging as I leaned forward to give them their share. I tucked it behind my ears. They watched me quietly. I could hear the party outside my room, a muffled shouting beat, but we were safe in my room.
